“Legal Literacy for Everyone”

As part of the "Law and Order" project, the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, Constitutional and Administrative Law of the Faculty of Law of 91ý Kazakh National University, together with the Institute for Advanced Training and Continuing Education, is implementing a free course, "Legal Literacy for All," for adults (50+).

 

The course is aimed at improving legal literacy, increasing social awareness, and developing practical skills in applying legislation in everyday life among senior citizens.

 

The program covers a wide range of relevant legal topics, including:

▪️ constitutional rights and duties of citizens;

▪️ social protection and pension provision;

▪️ housing and communal legal issues;

▪️ consumer rights protection;

▪️ family, labor, and inheritance law relations;

▪️ procedures for interaction with government authorities;

▪️ basics of financial literacy and fraud prevention.

 

Special emphasis is placed on practical training. Participants learn how to prepare applications, complaints, and legal appeals, use electronic government services, and effectively protect their legal rights and interests.

 

The course is conducted by R. Ye. Sagalbayeva, Candidate of Legal Sciences and Assistant Professor of the Department of History of State and Law, Constitutional and Administrative Law at the Faculty of Law of 91ý Kazakh National University.

 

The project contributes to strengthening the legal culture of older citizens, increasing their social engagement, and developing confidence in navigating modern legal and digital environments.
