KazNU and the Assembly of Peoples of the World strengthen partnership
An official meeting between Deputy Chairman of the Board, First Vice-Rector Erkin Duisenov and Chairman of the General Council of the Assembly of Peoples of the World Svetlana Smirnova took place at the Al–Farabi Kazakh National University.
During the meeting, the First Vice-Rector expressed his respect to the honored guests and expressed sincere gratitude to the representatives of the Assembly for their significant contribution to strengthening international cooperation and deepening partnerships with the university. The supporters discussed in detail the promising horizons of cooperation in the fields of science, modern education and academic exchange. At the same time, special priority was given to international initiatives and joint projects aimed at enhancing global intercultural dialogue and strengthening humanitarian ties.

Today, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University is widely recognized as one of the leading research universities in the Eurasian space. With 16 faculties, 8 research institutes, 140 laboratories and 29 research centers, this reputable university has firmly entered the Top 200 best higher education institutions in the world, ranking 166th, according to the results of the prestigious international QS World University Rankings 2026. By dynamically developing international partnerships, the university has established close ties with more than 700 leading universities and research centers in Europe, Asia, the Middle East and North America. Within the framework of this cooperation, joint educational programs, double-degree education projects, large-scale scientific research and academic mobility programs are being successfully implemented. A vivid proof of the university's high international attractiveness is the fact that today more than 7,000 international students from 52 countries study here.

During the solemn meeting, the guests of honor were also widely presented the latest achievements of the university in the field of digital technologies, innovative infrastructure and scientific potential. In recent years, such unique sites as the HUIBO Robotics Center, a powerful supercomputer cluster, the FARABI HUB innovation hub, and the Center for Geology and Remote Sensing of the Earth have been launched on the basis of KazNU in accordance with modern scientific and technological trends. At the end of the meeting, the participants stressed the strategic importance of further expanding international cooperation, implementing joint scientific and educational projects, as well as training new generation specialists for such modern industries as artificial intelligence, engineering and high technologies.
Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their full readiness to jointly develop promising projects that will bring mutually beneficial partnership to a qualitatively new level.
