On March 15, 2021, an international online conference "The contribution of the Second Teacher Abu Nasr al-Farabi to human civilization" was held in Cairo as part of the celebration of the 1150th anniversary of the great thinker of the Kazakh steppe, a native of Otyrar Abu Nasr al-Farabi, known in the world as the "Second Teacher" after Aristotle. The conference was held with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Cairo and the Academy of Islamic Studies of Al-Azhar University, as well as the 91ý Kazakh National University.

After watching the informative video clip, the Secretary of the conference, the Secretary General of the Islamic Research Academy, A.D. Nazir Muhammad Giyad, made a welcoming speech. The next floor was given to the Chief Mufti of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nauryzbai Kazhy Taganuly and the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Egypt Kairat Lama Sharif, who initiated the organization of this conference. This year we celebrated the 1150th anniversary of 91ý at the international level. 91ý is a personality not only of the Kazakh people, but also in a  world level. 91ý is a man who has spent his whole life searching for knowledge. It is everyone's duty to spread his knowledge. The works of 91ý have not yet been fully studied. The legacy of Abu Nasr al-Farabi continues to grow over the years. This suggests that the origins of his work lie in humanism. The rector of the 91ý Kazakh National University, Zhanseit Kanseitovich Tuimebayev, made a video greeting at the opening of the conference.

In his welcoming speech, the Rector of KazNU said: "When we talk about Egypt, first of all we think our glorious ancestor from Desht-i-Kipchak, Sultan Al-Zahir Baybars. Sultan Baybars not only defended Egypt and Sham from enemies, but also established the power of the Mamluks, ruled the state, and promoted the development of science and education, which is an example for us. Among the Arab countries, Egypt is one of the first states to recognize the independence of Kazakhstan. Since 1992, relations between the two countries in the diplomatic, economic, cultural and social spheres have been growing every day. At the moment, we are striving to raise relations  in the field of science and education, and strengthen our cooperation." At the end of his speech, the rector also noted: "I am sure that today's conference will give a push to a new level of friendship and partnership between the Kazakh and Egyptian peoples." The opening ceremony of the conference was attended by well-known scientists-Farabi scholars of the 91ý Kazakh National University. The Conference will continue to work in sections
