Today Al- Farabi KazNU is one of the best universities in Kazakhstan which never forgets about ancient traditions of Kazakh people, so Nauryz Holiday that has been long regarded as one of the important events in the history of our nation could not be overlooked by the university.听听
According to an old听tradition the academic staff of the Department of Foreign Languages and the听听students of the Faculty of Information Technologies held an event听听devoted to this popular holiday among Turkic nations. The event included many performances.听听The celebration听听center piece听听was a big concert of folk art and culture. The听听students performed folk songs, played solo and dombra accompaniment, presented folk dances in national costumes. The highlight of the celebration was an exhibition of national dishes, where everyone could taste the whole variety of national cuisine.
