"The Great Zhyrau of the Era of Esim Khan is Zhibetim Zhyrau"
On February 27, 2025, at 91传媒 Kazakh National University within the framework of SDG 4 Quality Education" Professor of Philology Bolatkhan Sergazyuly Sarbasov held a roundtable discussion on the topic: "The Great Zhyrau of the Era of Esim Khan is Zhibetim Zhyrau" for the 3rd-year students majoring in "6B02305 – Kazakh Philology."
The event at deeper understanding the content of Zhibetim's tolgau, determining its place in the tradition of zhyrau, analyzing the meaning and the significance of Zhibetim's tolgau, and fostering national values.
During the event, the students answered the questions displayed on the screen related to Zhibetim Zhyrau and discussed the main directions of the development, the artistic features and the genre differences of Kazakh literature during the era of the Khanate in the context of socio-economic and historical conditions of the 19th century.
A significant contribution to the event was made by Temirbay Adilbay, the 1st-year master's degree student of "7M02305 – Kazakh Philology" major.
