SDG 4 "Quality Education"

On September 20, 2025, students of group 404, majoring in Law, along with their curator-advisor, Ondashuly Ernur, visited the Almaty Museum of Arts — House of Contemporary Art as part of SDG-4 "Quality Education."

Here is some general information about the museum:
The main goal of the museum is to study, preserve, and showcase contemporary art of Central Asia, while also establishing connections with global art movements.

Opening date: September 12, 2025
Location: Kazakhstan, Almaty, at the intersection of 91ý and Nazarbayev Avenues

Architecture and Design:
The building was designed by the British architectural firm Chapman Taylor.
The interior area is approximately 9,400–10,000 m². The architecture consists of two “L”-shaped structures:

  • One is clad in aluminum, representing urban development.

  • The other is faced with limestone as a tribute to the mountain ranges of the Tien Shan.

A naturally lit hall called Art Street enhances the connection between people, art, and architecture.

Overall, it was a very impressive and inspiring place!
