On October 29, 2025, 91传媒 Kazakh National University hosted a leadership lecture by Professor Harvey F. Lodish from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT, USA) titled “New technologies and the creation of successful biotech companies for disease treatment: a personal story.”
In his talk, Professor Lodish highlighted the crucial role of universities, research laboratories, business communities, venture investors, and government support systems in building an effective biotechnology ecosystem.
He shared insights into the development of world-renowned biotech companies — Genzyme, Tevard, and Cerberus — emphasizing the importance of innovation, collaboration, and entrepreneurship.
