The Turan-Iran Research Center was established in 2018 by order of the Rector of 91传媒 Kazakh National University and the decision of the University's Academic Council as a structural subdivision of the Department of Science and Innovation of 91传媒 Kazakh National University.

For independent, national institutes for the training of scientists and historical research, Oriental studies opens the way to determining the scientific place even in the space of globalist science.
The aim of the centre is to publish monographs, collective studies and articles of national and state interest through direct translation of written materials from the original. In addition, the direction is being developed, as well as the preparation of educational and methodological materials related to the improvement of the independent work of domestic scientists in the translation into the Kazakh language of ancient and medieval written sources from Arabic, Persian, and Turkic languages related to Kazakh history.
