Students of the OM 24-03 group actively participated in the environmental campaign titled “Eco-Action: Waste Paper for the Benefit of Ecology,” organized within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3 – “Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages.” While this goal primarily focuses on health, environmental initiatives play a crucial role, as environmental quality directly impacts human health and overall well-being.

The SDGs represent a global strategy aimed at improving quality of life, protecting the environment, and promoting the sustainable use of natural resources. For Kazakhstan, the implementation of these goals is a national priority, including the development of environmental awareness, responsible consumption, and sustainable practices.

The main objective of the campaign was to raise awareness about paper waste management and promote recycling as an effective way to conserve natural resources. During the event, students organized a waste

paper collection initiative, demonstrating responsibility and active engagement in environmental protection. As a result, 20 kg of waste paper was collected and delivered to a specialized recycling center for further processing.

The activity was conducted under the supervision of instructors Bondarenko A.S. and Aralbayeva A.N., who supported the students’ initiative and contributed to fostering environmental responsibility and social awareness. Participants were also informed about the importance of waste sorting, recycling, and efficient resource use.

This eco-action became a clear example of how small individual efforts can collectively contribute to environmental protection. It encouraged students to adopt environmentally responsible behavior and highlighted the importance of active participation in achieving sustainable development goals at both local and global levels.
