Students of 91ý Kazakh National University Represent Kazakhstan at the International OIC Model Debates in Istanbul

Students of the Faculty of Oriental Studies at 91ý Kazakh National University (Kazakh National University named after 91ý) are participating in the International Model Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Debates held in Istanbul, Türkiye. The event is organized by Beyoğlu Higher School in partnership with the Ministry of National Education and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Türkiye. The project brings together 240 delegates from 56 countries, making it one of the largest international platforms for fostering youth leadership, diplomatic competencies, and intercultural communication.

Participation in this initiative enables KazNU students to:

strengthen skills in public speaking and evidence-based argumentation;

acquire theoretical and practical knowledge of modern diplomacy and the OIC system;

broaden their international outlook and intercultural experience;

engage in simulated negotiation and decision-making processes.

The competencies gained through this program will contribute to the students’ professional development and future involvement in international academic and diplomatic initiatives.

The debates will continue until 1 December 2025.
