A new work by Rahman Alshanov was presented to KazNU
The presentation of the scientific essay "Zulkarnain's campaign on the Saka land" took place at the al-Farabi Kazakh National University. From the history of Shu Khakan" by the famous scientist, president of the Educational Corporation "Turan" Rahman Alshanov.
At the opening of the event, Yerkin Duisenov, Deputy Chairman of the Board and First Vice–Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, highlighted the university's place in the development of national science and the modernization of historical consciousness. He noted that the new work is of great importance not only for scientific turnover, but also for society.
During the presentation, distinguished scientists made a welcoming speech and gave a scientific assessment of the content of the study. At the meeting, academicians of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zhangara Dadebayev and Kalkaman Zhumagulov discussed the topic "Alexander the Great as a major figure in world history". Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Madiyar Eleuov, scientific director of the Farabi Center, Farabi scholar Zhakypbek Altaev also expressed their opinion.
According to the participants, in this study, the scientist analyzed various sources related to the Saka world, as well as widespread legends about the personality of Alexander the Great (Iskander). The author sought to reveal new facets of historical reality, combining information about Shu-Khaqan in the work of Mahmoud Kashgari "Diwani lugat at-turk", the writings of ancient authors Clitarchus and Ptolemy, as well as modern scientific discoveries. The work examines the historical image of Shu-khakan in close connection with such ancient cities as Taraz, Balasagun, Argu and the Great Silk Road, and makes an in-depth analysis of the state thinking of the Saka period.
As part of the event, the works of Professor Rahman Alshanov were solemnly transferred to the scientific library of the al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
