New directions of medical science development have been identified

A round table meeting dedicated to the development of scientific infrastructure was held at the Faculty of Medicine and Healthcare of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

 

During the meeting, Dean of the Faculty Sundetgali Kalmakhanov highlighted the achievements of the faculty in the field of science and educational programs.

The Faculty of Medicine and Public Health was officially opened in 2015. Having initially started its work on the basis of three departments, today it unites 10 departments and demonstrates sustainable development. Currently, the faculty has about 4,000 students. In terms of the publication of scientific articles in international journals, faculty members of the Faculty of Medicine and Public Health occupy leading positions.

Kuanysh Tastambek, Director of the Department of Science and Innovation, made a presentation at the round table, emphasizing the importance of strengthening the scientific infrastructure. He touched upon the issues of modernizing scientific laboratories, equipping them with modern equipment, supporting young scientists and implementing innovative projects. The directions of commercialization of science, development of interdisciplinary research and expansion of participation in international grant projects were also discussed at the university level.

At the end of the meeting, the participants expressed their suggestions and exchanged views on the further development of the faculty's research activities.
