Cooperation with Zhangjiajie College is being established
A delegation from Zhangjiajie College paid an official visit to Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
During the meeting of the honored guests with Alina Galeyeva, Member of the Board and Vice–Rector for Academic Affairs of KazNU, issues of expanding academic exchange and cooperation in the field of education, tourism and intercultural dialogue were discussed.
In her welcoming speech, the Vice-Rector informed the honored guests about KazNU's active partnership with Chinese universities. "Today, our university is actively expanding the geography of the partnership. Cooperation with colleagues from China opens up new opportunities for sharing best practices. Joint educational and scientific projects are already bearing significant fruit. We are focused on expanding our educational partnership and are open to promising initiatives",- Alina Kulbaevna emphasized.
The head of the delegation, the rector of Zhangjiajie College, Jiang Debing, brought to the attention of those present a video about the educational institution, after which he focused on significant points. In particular, he said that the relatively young educational institution has 23,000 students in 9 faculties in 52 specialties. The most sought-after and popular areas are medicine, information technology and tourism. The college is proud of the Philharmonic Society, which employs 35 foreign musicians from Russia, Uzbekistan, Ukraine and Kazakhstan.
At the end of his speech, the rector of the college expressed interest in developing cooperation with KazNU, which, according to the guest of honor, has a great influence in China. "It is a great honor for us to develop a dialogue with a leading university in Kazakhstan. I am confident that our cooperation in the field of tourism and intercultural interaction will become a solid foundation for the training of highly qualified specialists – undergraduates and doctoral students at your university",- said the guest of honor.
The meeting ended with a discussion on the development of cooperation, academic exchange and the implementation of joint educational projects. A guided tour of the university campus, the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Management, and scientific laboratories located at the faculty was organized for the honored guests.
