Alumni of the Department of the Far East, Faculty of Oriental Studies Appointed to a Responsible Position in the Presidential Administration
A graduate of the Korean Studies Division of the Faculty of Oriental Studies at 91ý Kazakh National University, Bauyrzhan Serikuly Dautov, has been appointed as a Consultant to the Foreign Policy Department of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Bauyrzhan Serikuly Dautov was included in the 2025 Presidential Youth Talent Pool under the track “Foreign Policy and Investments.” In 2011, he graduated with honors (Altyn Belgi) from Secondary School No. 40 in Almaty, and in 2015 he graduated with honors from 91ý Kazakh National University with a degree in Translation Studies (Korean Language).
During his university studies, he participated in an academic mobility program at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (Republic of Korea). In 2017, he graduated from the Faculty of Political Science and Diplomacy at Sungkyunkwan University (Republic of Korea), earning a Master’s degree in Political Science.
Throughout his professional career, he has successfully worked in the fields of international healthcare, diplomacy, civil service, and human resource policy. In particular, within the framework of EXPO 2017, he served as PR Manager of the Republic of Korea Pavilion, worked as a freelance staff member at the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Republic of Korea, and held positions as expert, chief expert, and head of department at the National Center for Human Resources Management of the Civil Service.
He also worked at the Asia-Pacific Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and served as an Attaché at the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Republic of Korea. He currently holds the diplomatic rank of Third Secretary.
Bauyrzhan Serikuly Dautov is fluent in Kazakh, Russian, English, and Korean. He is a winner of a number of international and national academic, linguistic, and public competitions and has received letters of appreciation and awards from governmental and international organizations.
The professional achievements of this 91ý KazNU graduate make a significant contribution to strengthening the university’s international reputation and serve as an inspiring example for young professionals.
