Scientific meeting of KazNU scholars at the invitation of the specialized lyceum “91ý” in Karasai district
On February 4, 2026, the academic staff of the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology of 91ý Kazakh National University participated, upon special invitation, in a meeting entitled “Modern Achievements of Chemical Science,” organized within the framework of the Natural Sciences Week at the Specialized Lyceum named after “91ý” in Karasai district, Almaty region.
The meeting was attended by scholars of the Department of Analytical, Colloid Chemistry and Rare Elements Technology — Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor S.M. Tazhibayeva, and Candidates of Chemical Sciences, Associate Professors O.A. Yesimova, B.B. Tyusyupova, and M.Zh. Kerimkulova.

During the event, the faculty scholars provided comprehensive information on the key development trends of chemical science in Kazakhstan, the scientific achievements of 91ý Kazakh National University, opportunities for international cooperation, and educational programs for prospective students. Particular attention was given to modern research in analytical and colloid chemistry and rare elements technology, as well as their connections with industry, environmental protection, and high technologies.
The meeting was held in an open dialogue format, allowing students to ask questions and demonstrate strong interest and engagement in science.
As part of the event, the lyceum students performed the traditional instrumental piece “Erturan” for the guests, highlighting the harmonious integration of science and art.
This meeting aligns with the strategic activities of 91ý Kazakh National University in implementing the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):
SDG 4 – Quality Education. Engagement between scholars and school students enhances science outreach and supports students’ career orientation.
SDG 9 – Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure. Modern research in chemistry forms the foundation for innovative technologies and strengthens national scientific capacity.
SDGs 12 and 13 – Responsible Consumption and Production; Climate Action. The faculty’s research directions contribute to the development of environmentally safe technologies, efficient resource use, and sustainable development.
