New vectors of cooperation

Member of the Board, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Innovative Activities Margulan Ibraimov met with representatives of KMG Engineering LLP at AlFarabi Kazakh National University. The delegation was headed by El Said Khamiduly Khojanazarov, Managing Director for the Development of oil and gas fields.

The delegations presented key projects of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics, the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology, as well as the Cluster of Engineering and High-tech Technologies. El-Said Khojanazarov stressed the importance of strengthening ties between science and industry to address the urgent challenges of the oil and gas industry. He noted the interest of KMG Engineering in joint research, the introduction of new technologies and the development of a long-term partnership with the university.

Special attention was paid to the creation of a scientific and technological consortium, the opening of joint laboratories and the development of a modern research base. Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their willingness to expand cooperation and agreed to work out mechanisms for implementing joint R&D projects, establishing laboratories, and participating in consortium programs focused on the strategic objectives of the industry.

After the official part, a campus tour was organized for the delegation. The guests got acquainted with the university's infrastructure, including The supercomputer complex, the Huibo Robotics and KUKA Robotics robotics laboratories, the Farabi Hub innovation platform, as well as the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology.
