On 21 February 2026, within the framework of the national initiative 鈥淟aw and Order,鈥� the Department of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure and Criminalistics of the Faculty of Law at 91传媒 Kazakh National University organized a free legal consultation event for citizens.
The event was held at the Public Service Center of the Bostandyk District (State Corporation Government for Citizens). Faculty members and practicing attorneys provided pro bono legal assistance to residents, offering consultations on criminal law, criminal procedure, protection of victims’ rights, and procedures for 芯斜褉邪褖械薪懈褟 to law enforcement agencies and courts.
The initiative aimed to enhance legal awareness, improve access to justice, and strengthen the rule of law. The event contributes to the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goal 16: “Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions,” promoting equal access to justice and effective, accountable institutions.
The Department will continue implementing practice-oriented activities under the “Law and Order” initiative to foster legal culture and reinforce public trust in legal institutions.
