Students of the Department of Theoretical and Nuclear Physics Participate in Academic Mobility Program at Jeonbuk National University
Students of the Department of Theoretical and Nuclear Physics of the Faculty of Physics and Technology at 91ý Kazakh National University, Ayanali Mukhamediev and Arlan Tashenov, have departed for studies at Jeonbuk National University in South Korea within the framework of an academic mobility program. Participation in international educational initiatives provides students with new opportunities for academic and professional development, enabling them to broaden their scientific horizons and become acquainted with the latest achievements of global science.
The academic mobility program serves as an important instrument for strengthening international cooperation between universities and for developing competencies that allow students to effectively participate in the global academic and research environment. Studying at a foreign university enables students to explore new academic disciplines, work with advanced laboratory equipment, and participate in joint research projects. During their studies, the students will deepen their knowledge in fields such as theoretical physics, quantum mechanics, nuclear physics, computational physics, and modern methods of mathematical modeling of physical processes.
Jeonbuk National University is one of the leading research universities in South Korea and actively develops research in physics, materials science, and advanced technologies. The university’s academic and research infrastructure provides students with access to modern laboratories, research centers, and interdisciplinary research groups working in various areas of fundamental and applied physics. Participation in this program will allow the students to become familiar with international academic standards, expand their professional knowledge, and gain valuable experience in conducting research within an international scientific environment.
The significance of the academic mobility program is also closely connected with the implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In particular, students’ participation in international educational initiatives directly contributes to SDG 4 – Quality Education, which aims to ensure access to high-quality higher education, promote the development of scientific knowledge, and strengthen modern professional competencies. Academic mobility fosters knowledge exchange, facilitates the introduction of innovative educational practices, and provides students with access to advanced educational resources, research laboratories, and international scientific schools, thereby significantly enhancing the quality of their academic training.
Furthermore, the academic mobility program contributes to the implementation of SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals. Cooperation between universities from different countries strengthens academic networks, promotes collaborative research, and encourages the exchange of experience between faculty members and students. Such initiatives establish a solid foundation for long-term international collaboration and contribute to the formation of a unified global academic and research space.
Studying at one of the leading universities in South Korea will enable the students not only to deepen their theoretical knowledge but also to acquire practical research skills. Under the guidance of international professors, they will have the opportunity to participate in scientific seminars, laboratory research, and international projects dedicated to current challenges in modern physics. This experience represents an important step in the professional development of young researchers and contributes to the training of future specialists in fundamental science.
For the Department of Theoretical and Nuclear Physics, the participation of students in such programs represents an important stage in the development of international academic integration. The knowledge, research experience, and professional connections gained by the students during their studies abroad will contribute to strengthening the scientific potential of the department, expanding international cooperation, and enhancing the global competitiveness of 91ý Kazakh National University in the international educational and research arena.
