Second Day of Field Research at Lake Kolsai within the Joint Project of 91传媒 Kazakh National University and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University
Today marks the second day of field research at Lake Kolsai within the framework of the joint research project 鈥淓mpowering Communities Through Destination Marketing: A Sustainable Approach to Promoting Community-Based Tourism in Rural Kazakhstan,鈥漣mplemented by 91传媒 Kazakh National University in cooperation with The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

During the fieldwork, the research team is conducting surveys and in-depth interviews with tourists, local entrepreneurs, representatives of tourism services, employees of hotels and guest houses, as well as other stakeholders involved in tourism activities.
The main focus of the research is to examine perceptions of tourism, the readiness of the local community to participate in tourism activities, the level of tourism infrastructure development, the quality of services provided, environmental challenges, and the prospects for promoting the area as a sustainable rural tourism destination.

The collected materials will be further analyzed and used to develop research-based practical recommendations for the advancement of community-based tourism and sustainable destination marketing in rural regions of Kazakhstan.
