An open class was held on the topic “Water is the Source of Life.”
On March 4, 2026, Gulshat Bazarbayevna Semenderova, a lecturer of the Department of Geography, Land Management and Cadastre, conducted an open lesson for 3rd-year students of the educational program 6B07304 – “Cadastre” on the topic of water resource protection.
During the lesson, particular attention was paid to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) proposed by the United Nations, especially SDG 13 “Climate Action” and SDG 14 “Life Below Water”. Students discussed issues related to the efficient use of water resources, their protection, and ensuring environmental sustainability, sharing their views on these topics.

In the practical part of the lesson, students worked in groups, prepared posters on water resource protection, and presented their projects. They proposed specific measures for protecting water sources, rational water use, and environmental conservation.
The open lesson was aimed at developing students’ environmental awareness, fostering a responsible attitude toward natural resources, and deepening their understanding of sustainable development principles.
