Environmental Security as a Factor in International Relations
The round table was organized to discuss the role of environmental security in the system of international relations in the modern period, to consider cooperation among states in environmental policy, and to determine the importance of international law in addressing global environmental problems. Particular attention was also given to analyzing the activities of international organizations in the field of environmental protection and the responsibility of states in this area. The event was attended by faculty members Zh.S. Zhunisov, D.U. Baitukaeva, G.A. Apsattarova, as well as 2nd–3rd year students
During the round table, participants exchanged views on environmental security issues such as climate change, water scarcity, deforestation, and pollution of the atmosphere and oceans. In addition, participants discussed various approaches to solving environmental problems, emphasized the importance of international cooperation, and proposed recommendations for ensuring environmental security.
Within the framework of the event, participants were able to develop a stronger understanding of environmental culture and global responsibility.
The importance of environmental security in the system of international relations was widely discussed during the round table. The participants noted that environmental problems have a global nature and require joint efforts of states to address them.
