Legal education and admission opportunities: a dialogue with 11th grade students
On February 25, 2026, a career guidance meeting was held at Secondary School №10 with representatives of the Faculty of Law of 91传媒 Kazakh National University. The event was primarily aimed at 11th-grade students who are about to choose their future profession and determine their further educational path.
The students were addressed by A.A. Abikenov, candidate of legal sciences, associate professor, and S.E. Asanova, PhD, acting associate professor. During the meeting, the university representatives provided detailed information about the structure and academic programs of the Faculty of Law, modern educational programs, opportunities for in-depth study of specific branches of law, and student participation in research projects, competitions, and conferences.
Special attention was given to the faculty’s academic opportunities, including academic mobility programs, international cooperation, internships, and practice-oriented education. The students were informed about the professional prospects of graduates, including careers in the judiciary, prosecution authorities, advocacy, public administration, and the private sector.
Prospective applicants were briefed on the admission requirements to the Faculty of Law of 91传媒 Kazakh National University, the required results of the Unified National Testing (UNT), the procedure for competing for educational grants, and the specific features of studying in the field of “Law.” Particular attention was also paid to academic discipline, required levels of preparation, and the professional qualities expected of future lawyers.
The meeting was held in an open dialogue format. Students actively asked questions about the specifics of the legal profession, career prospects, labor market demand, and the role of lawyers in building a rule-of-law state.
