On the eve of the national referendum to be held on March 15, lecturers of the Department of Recreational Geography and Tourism, U.T. Koshkimbaeva and S.A. Mominov, held an informational and explanatory meeting with students dedicated to issues of civic participation and the importance of referendums in the life of society.
During the event, students were informed about the role of a referendum as one of the key instruments of direct democracy, allowing citizens to express their position on important state issues. The lecturers also discussed with students the procedure for holding a referendum and reminded them of the right of citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan to participate in voting.
Special attention was given to fostering an active civic position among young people. It was emphasized that participation in socially significant events provides an opportunity to demonstrate responsibility for the future of the country and to exercise one’s civic rights.
