As part of the Nauryznama decade, on March 18, 2026, the UNESCO Chair for Sustainable Development at the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences organized and successfully held a national cuisine fair at a high level.
During the event, the rich cultural heritage of the Kazakh people and national dishes were widely presented. The tables prepared by the students featured traditional foods such as Nauryz kozhe, baursaks, kurt, and irimshik, creating a special festive atmosphere for the guests.
The fair was not limited to food presentation only but was complemented by an informative and engaging program. Participants took part in a “guess the proverb” game, and a “wish tree” activity was organized to promote national values. These activities contributed to the development of students’ creativity and encouraged open and friendly communication.
The main goal of the event was to promote national culture, increase young people's interest in traditions, and widely popularize the spirit of the Nauryz holiday. Thanks to the high level of participant engagement and the responsibility of the organizers, the fair was held successfully and received positive feedback.
This initiative made a significant contribution to the revival of national values among students and the strengthening of spiritual continuity.
