The Green Initiative has received wide support
A large-scale environmental campaign "Green Initiative – a bright Future" was held at al-Farabi Kazakh National University as part of the Nauryznama Decade.
The main purpose of the event, dedicated to the Day of Renewal, is to increase the responsibility of students and the university staff for the preservation of the environment, the formation of a culture of respect for nature and the improvement of the university grounds.
During the campaign, the student dormitories and the campus were cleaned, and the surrounding areas were landscaped in a modern style. The departments of the university took an active part in planting flowers. The territory in front of the Students' House 鈩�7 was replenished with new green spaces, and young apple trees were planted in the town of KazNU.
The event was not limited to cleaning: an important part of the campaign was the promotion of waste recycling through the collection of waste paper. According to the specialists of the Department for Social and Educational Work, such initiatives contribute to the formation of an active civic position among young people and the implementation of the principles of sustainable development in everyday life.
Students and university staff took part in the environmental campaign, contributing to the common cause.
