KazNU and Bukhara International University strengthen scientific ties
Chairman of the Board – Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev met with Rector of Bukhara International University Sharif Barotov to discuss issues of deepening academic cooperation.
During the meeting, the head of KazNU dwelled on the achievements of the university, noting that today, together with the leading universities of Uzbekistan, a number of fundamental scientific projects and general educational programs are being successfully implemented. The Rector voiced specific proposals for bringing the bilateral partnership to a new level.
"Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan are good neighbors and reliable strategic partners. In this regard, it is extremely important for us to strengthen cooperation with Uzbek higher education institutions. We need to initiate joint research projects with Bukhara International University and create conditions for free access of scientists to laboratories and research centers of both universities",- Zhanseit Tuimebayev emphasized.
In turn, Rector Sharif Barotov highly appreciated these initiatives, noting that the potential of the two educational institutions allows for the implementation of projects of any scale.
During the visit, the Rector of KazNU got acquainted with the scientific infrastructure of Bukhara International University, visiting modern laboratories and classrooms.
