“Traditional Speech Patterns in the Kazakh Language.”
Today, a meaningful and academically oriented lecture was organized for students majoring in Kazakh Philology at the Faculty of Philology of 91ý Kazakh National University.
The lecture was delivered by philologist and linguist Aryn Qunanbayuly, Senior Lecturer at Farabi University and KBTU, on the topic “Traditional Speech Patterns in the Kazakh Language.”

During the lecture, the nature of traditional speech patterns in the Kazakh language, their functions, and their scope of use in modern speech culture were comprehensively analyzed from a scientific perspective. Particular attention was paid to deviations from linguistic norms in youth speech and the phenomenon of calques, with well-grounded arguments regarding the normative status of various linguistic units. Specifically, such usages as “sodan son – sosyn,” “soltustik – soltustik,” and “zhumys zhasaidy – zhumys isteydi” were critically examined and scientifically evaluated.
In addition, special focus was given to traditional speech patterns found in folk songs, as well as to linguistic units that are gradually fading from active usage.
The event took place at the 1000 kitap literary house.
The lecture was organized by the faculty members of the A. Baitursynuly Department of Kazakh Linguistics — Associate Professor A. Amirov, PhD Zh. Sarsenbay, and Master’s degree holder M. Khamitova.
The lecture contributed to enhancing students’ interest in scientific research and fostered a renewed perspective on issues of language culture. As the saying goes, “The children of a promising nation recognize each other as heroes,” today’s youth have much to say and demonstrate a strong commitment to academic inquiry.
