At Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Deputy Chairman of the Board First Vice-Rector Yerkin Duissenov met with a delegation from the Jizzakh branch of the Mirzo Ulugbek National University of Uzbekistan headed by Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation Alizhon Baboev.

During the meeting, representatives of KazNU shared the achievements of the university. It was noted that the university's research institutes, modern laboratories and innovation centers demonstrate stable development.

To date, KazNU has established close ties with leading universities in Uzbekistan, such as the Tashkent State Pedagogical University named after Nizami, the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, etc. Currently, more than 200 students from Uzbekistan are studying at the university for bachelor's, master's and doctoral programs.

The positive dynamics of academic mobility was also discussed at the meeting. For example, in October 2025, a special scientific and educational internship for teachers from Uzbekistan was organized on the basis of KazNU. The Parties expressed their intention to continue this practice in the future.

The parties expressed interest in further expanding cooperation, including the development of academic mobility of students and teachers, the implementation of joint research projects, participation in international grant programs, as well as the organization of educational schools and professional development programs.
