At the Department of Chemical Physics and Materials Science, an advisory session was held on the topic: «Clean Kazakhstan – the Future of the Nation»
“Clean Kazakhstan – the shared responsibility of every citizen” means that protecting nature and the environment is an important duty for each of us. This advisory session aligns with the 6th Sustainable Development Goal: “Clean Water and Sanitation.” Maintaining water cleanliness is especially significant because clean water is essential for human health and life. By preventing pollution of rivers and lakes and using water efficiently, we can contribute to the protection of nature.
In this context, for master’s students of the educational program in chemistry «7M07122 – Nanomaterials and Nanotechnology in Chemistry», a scientific presentation was held by PhD candidate Araylym Nurgain on February 17, 2026, from 16:00 to 16:50, on the topic: “Development of Diatomite-Based Nanocomposite Materials for Water Purification.” At the end of the presentation, a Q&A survey was conducted with the master’s students, and the topic was discussed comprehensively.
During this event, it was emphasized that conducting scientific research in the areas of water purification, environmental protection, and carbon dioxide capture is of great importance for the sustainable development of our country.
