One of such works was an independent assignment devoted to the topic “Healthy Living for Young People” (SDG 3 “Good Health and Well-being”). Students of the specialties “Tourism”, “Restaurant Business and Hotel Management”, “Geography”, “Ecology”, “Cadastre” and “Hydrology” prepared substantial presentations in which they reflected modern challenges related to youth health.
Work on the presentations includes the selection of relevant materials, analysis of statistics, search for examples from global practice, and the development of their own proposals for improving the quality of life of young people. The students demonstrated a high level of awareness: they discussed the impact of lifestyle on health, the importance of proper nutrition, physical activity, environmental factors, and psychological well-being.
During the defense of the projects, a lively discussion took place. Students asked each other questions, proposed solutions for improving conditions for young people, and supplemented the reports of their classmates. This form of work helps to develop critical thinking and the ability to argue one’s position. It is important to note that the students’ interest was genuine: they demonstrated not only academic knowledge but also a personal interest in the issues of health and sustainable development. Many noted that the preparation of the presentations allowed them to take a new look at familiar aspects of everyday life.
Such activities, oriented toward the SDGs, become not just an academic task, but a step toward the formation of an active, responsible, and environmentally conscious personality. This approach helps students not only to broaden their horizons, but also prepares them for future professional activity.
