The 9th regular meeting of the Faculty of Journalism Academic Council was held.
SDG-4 Active preparations are underway at the faculty for the traditional student scientific conference “Farabi Alemi – 2026.” A report on this matter was delivered by Vice Dean for Research, Innovation, and International Relations, Akynbekova Altyn Bakashkyzy. In her presentation, she provided a comprehensive overview of the conference organization process, including the selection stages of participants’ research papers, the procedures for conducting sectional sessions, and opportunities within the framework of international cooperation.
The next item on the agenda addressed the quality of publications and the current state of the academic journal “KazNU Bulletin. Journalism Series.” The report was presented by Executive Secretary of the journal, Dudinova Elena Ivanovna. She focused on key issues such as improving the quality of articles, ensuring compliance with international standards, enhancing the peer-review process, and strengthening the academic reputation of the journal.
In addition, the faculty departments are carrying out systematic work to improve performance indicators in the international QS World University Rankings. Particular attention is being paid to improving the quality of education, increasing the number of scientific publications and their citation impact, as well as expanding faculty participation in international research projects.
Furthermore, efforts are being actively implemented to develop academic mobility, conduct joint research with foreign universities, and strengthen international partnerships.
