“The Value of a Word is the Value of Yourself”
Within the framework of SDG-4 “Quality Education,” a meaningful meeting titled “The Value of a Word is the Value of Yourself” was organized as part of the course “Kazakh Improvisational Art” by Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor Seitzhanov Zufar and doctoral student Bazarbek Bekzhan. The event was held in the format of a meeting with experienced educator and educational trainer Саят Ибраимов and was both informative and engaging.
During the meeting, the significance of speech culture, the historical and cognitive value of oratory, and the role of language in human life and public consciousness were discussed in depth. Drawing on his professional experience, the guest shared valuable insights with students on structuring ideas clearly, using language appropriately, establishing effective communication with an audience, and developing improvisational skills. It was also emphasized that the art of speech is not merely a means of communication, but an essential factor reflecting an individual’s inner culture and worldview.
Throughout the session, students demonstrated active engagement, asked thoughtful questions, and received comprehensive answers. The open discussion format of the session contributed to the development of critical thinking skills and fostered a culture of free expression.
Such meaningful meetings undoubtedly enhance young people’s appreciation of the art of speech and contribute significantly to the development of their thinking culture, communication skills, and personal growth.
