A Professional Platform for Aspiring PR Specialists: “Sireny PRoryv”

SDG-4 A master class in an academic and practical format titled “Sireny PRoryv” was held at the Faculty of Journalism of 91ý Kazakh National University for students of the Kazakh and Russian departments majoring in Public Relations (PR). The main objective of the event was to familiarize students with current trends in the PR industry, develop their professional competencies, and encourage participation in industry competitions.

“Sireny PRoryv” is an annual national student competition in the fields of PR, marketing communications, media, and digital projects, organized by the Kazakhstan PR Club. The project serves as an important platform that strengthens the connection between the professional community and students, while also integrating theoretical knowledge with practical experience. The competition brings together students, young professionals, and industry experts to facilitate knowledge exchange, build professional networks, and promote innovative ideas.

It is worth noting that the international student conference “Sireny PRoryv” has been held regularly since 2002. In 2026, the project will be organized in a festival format for the first time, offering participants expanded opportunities in terms of both content and structure.

As part of the master class, members of the PRshy club — Mairash Taikenova, Laura Barysova, Dina Sabirova, and Adiya Baidildina — delivered presentations. The speakers provided comprehensive information about the competition structure, nominations, evaluation criteria, and participation requirements. They also shared practical experience and analyzed effective strategies for developing and implementing PR projects.

During the event, students engaged in interactive discussions and received answers to their professional questions. This contributed to the development of critical thinking and the enhancement of communication skills.

In conclusion, the master class was highly regarded as an effective educational platform that integrates theory and practice for future PR professionals. Such academic and practice-oriented events play a significant role in shaping students’ career paths and increasing their competitiveness in the labor market.
