Interview of Kazakhstan–China Laboratory Representatives for Xinhua News Agency
On April 2, 2026, journalists from the Almaty branch of Xinhua News Agency in the Republic of Kazakhstan conducted an interview at the Kazakhstan–China Joint Laboratory for Remote Sensing Technologies and Their Applications with Professor Jilili Abduvali, a representative of the Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Sanim Bissenbayeva, PhD, a research fellow of the laboratory.

The interview focused on issues of environmental safety, sustainable use of natural resources, and landscape changes in arid regions. The speakers highlighted the importance of remote sensing technologies for environmental monitoring and outlined their potential applications in Kazakhstan.
Particular attention was also given to the development of scientific cooperation within the laboratory, including joint research initiatives and knowledge exchange
