The Azerbaijani delegation got acquainted with the scientific laboratories of KazNU
The rectors of Azerbaijani universities, headed by the Minister of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan Emin Amrullayev, got acquainted with the scientific infrastructure of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
The honored guests were presented with scientific centers and laboratories launched in recent years, as well as innovative domestic projects developed by university scientists.
The members of the delegation paid special attention to the activities of the Robotics Center, equipped with German Kuka robots. In addition, the work of the Robotics Center and the International Institute of Digital Technologies and Robotics, opened jointly with China, was presented. In these centers, students have the opportunity to gain practical experience by working directly with modern robots.
During the visit, the guests visited the KazNU supercomputer cluster, where they assessed the technical capabilities of the high-tech device. This complex with a capacity of 2,000 teraflops is considered the most powerful supercomputer in Central Asia. It was noted that its computing power is about 10,000 times higher than that of the most modern personal computer.
Large-scale scientific projects of the university in the field of chemistry and biology were also presented to the Azerbaijani colleagues, during which the importance of mutual exchange of experience was emphasized.
