A guest lecture by Du Dier, a representative of Zhangjiajie College (PRC), was held at the Department of Recreational Geography and Tourism of 91ý Kazakh National University.

The event was organized within the framework of the Science Week at 91ý Kazakh National University, highlighting its academic significance and contribution to the development of international cooperation.

The lecture titled “Pathways and Boundaries of Deep Integration of Culture and Tourism Empowered by AI” focused on current issues related to the integration of culture and tourism through artificial intelligence technologies. The speaker discussed modern trends in the digitalization of the tourism industry, the application of AI in destination development, and the prospects for interdisciplinary research in this field.

Students of the educational program “6B11101 – Tourism” actively participated in the lecture, demonstrating strong interest in the topic, asking questions, and engaging in discussions.

As part of the visit, working meetings were also held to discuss prospects for academic and scientific cooperation between the universities, including joint educational programs, student and faculty exchange, and collaborative research initiatives.

It should be noted that a delegation of four representatives from Zhangjiajie College arrived to participate in the international conference of students and young scientists “Farabi Alemi” held at 91ý Kazakh National University. The participation of international colleagues contributes to strengthening global partnerships and fostering scientific dialogue.

Such guest lectures play an important role in the academic activities of the department, promoting international collaboration, knowledge exchange, and improving the quality of training future specialists in the field of tourism.
