Results of Section No. 6 鈥淪tart in Science (for School Students)鈥� within the 鈥淔arabi Alemi 鈥� 2026鈥� Conference
On April 7, 2026, the meeting of Section No. 6 “Start in Science (for School Students)” was held as part of the International Scientific Conference of Students and Young Scientists “Farabi Alemi – 2026”.
The working committee included:
Chair — PhD, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Biotechnology Fariza Kudaibergenovna Sarsekeeva;
Moderators — Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Tatyana Anatolyevna Karpenyuk, Candidate of Biological Sciences, Professor Lyudmila Viktorovna Ignatova, PhD, Senior Lecturer Dina Khabdulmanatovna Shokatayeva;
Secretary — PhD, Senior Lecturer Malika Anvarbegovna Abdulzhanova.
The section attracted significant interest among school students: a total of 38 abstracts were submitted from various educational institutions across Kazakhstan, including 谐懈屑薪邪蟹懈褟谢邪褉, general education schools, specialized lyceums, and private schools. The most active participants were from Gymnasium No. 120 named after Mazhit Begalin and “Prestige” School.
During the session, 26 oral presentations were delivered, covering a wide range of relevant scientific areas such as biotechnology, ecology, and digital solutions in biology. The participants demonstrated a high level of preparation, strong research skills, and the relevance of their topics.
Based on the results, the commission determined the winners:
1st place diploma (recommended for the Rector’s award) was awarded to students of “Prestige” School — Sanan Gaflanzade and Dmitry Ustinov. Topic:

All participants received certificates of participation.
The work of the section demonstrated a strong interest of school students in scientific research and highlighted the high potential of future young scientists.
