As part of the traditional "Sanik readings", the republican round table "Zeynolla Sanik - writer, publisher, editor, ethnographer" was held at the Faculty of Journalism of al–Farabi Kazakh National University.
The event was attended by representatives of the intelligentsia, famous writers, the family of Zeynolla Sanik, colleagues, students, scientists, teachers of the Faculty of Journalism, well-known publishers, designers and students.
Acting Dean of the Faculty of Journalism Manshuk Mukasheva, who spoke at the round table, noted: "Zeynolla Sanik is a man who has made an invaluable contribution to the development of national spirituality and literature. His creative legacy covers not only literature, but also publishing and ethnography. The main goal of today's event is to widely familiarize the younger generation with this heritage, to give impetus to the scientific research of students and young scientists, and to increase their creative potential. Such meetings enrich the spiritual world of the younger generation and increase interest in the national heritage".
In the competition, aimed at enhancing scientific research and the implementation of creative ideas and new ideas of students and young scientists, the younger generation was comprehensively presented with the special contribution of writer, publisher, editor, ethnographer Zeynolla Sanik to literature and the development of publishing.
During the meeting, a competition was organized among students in the following nominations: "The best printed publication", "The best scientific paper", "The best work of design art". As a result, the authors of the works recognized as the best were awarded a certificate for a one-time scholarship sponsored by the Zeynolla Sanik Cultural Foundation and a letter of thanks on behalf of the writer's family.
The Zeynolla Sanik Cultural Foundation, established in 2018, organizes literary, cultural, scientific events, as well as popularization and research of the writer's works.
