Online Seminar on Publication Activity and Patent Development in Academia
On April 9, 2026, at 3:00 PM, the Department of Foreign Philology and Translation Studies organized an online scientific seminar entitled “Importance of SCIE Journals and International Patent Grants in Research Academia.” The lecture was delivered by Christo Ananth, Professor at Samarkand State University.
The seminar aimed to enhance the research competence of academic staff, PhD students and address current academic requirements. Particular attention was paid to publications in SCIE-indexed journals, a major international citation database covering leading scientific journals as well as the role of international patents in academic development.
Special focus was given to strategies for increasing publication output, selecting high-quality journals, and preparing research articles and patent applications.

The seminar aroused strong interest among the teachers and PhD students of the department and became an important platform for exchanging experience and discussing the prospects for the development of research activity.
