On April 9, together with first-year students, we attended the theatrical performance “Mәңгілік бала бейне” staged at the Kazakh National Drama Theatre named after M. Auezov. This cultural event had a significant impact on the students’ spiritual development and contributed to the formation of their historical awareness.
The performance is dedicated to the lives of people who suffered from the consequences of the Semipalatinsk nuclear test site. It vividly and authentically portrays the severe impact of nuclear testing on human life, health, and future generations. The story of the main character, Leila, made a particularly deep impression on the audience. Her emotional pain, struggle for life, and the tragedy of a childhood that turned into a lifelong wound left no one indifferent.
The actors delivered a performance of a high professional level. They accurately conveyed the inner emotional states of the characters, including their hopes and suffering. Each scene was realistic and thought-provoking, evoking a strong emotional response.
The students watched the performance with great interest and were deeply emotionally engaged. After the play, they shared their impressions and emphasized the educational significance of the work. Important issues such as environmental problems, the value of human life, and historical responsibility were widely discussed.
Overall, the visit to the theatre was a meaningful and memorable experience. Such performances play an important role in raising awareness among young people and fostering respect for national history.
