“Nauryz – the Holiday of Renewal and Unity”
At the PPNandCP Department, an educational and cultural event titled “Nauryz – the Holiday of Renewal and Unity” was organized for third-year students of the “Physics and Nanotechnology” educational program by Assistant Professor Amrenova A.U. , Gabdullina G.L, Gabdullina A.T. together with master’s students Sali D.S., Zhunisbekova A.M., and Abdrakhman S.A.
The main objective of this event was to provide students with a deep understanding of the historical significance of the Nauryz holiday, its spiritual meaning, and its role in national culture. In addition, one of the key tasks was to foster a sense of patriotism, encourage respect for national traditions, and promote the preservation of cultural heritage.
During the event, participants were introduced to the rich cultural heritage of the Kazakh people, and theatrical performances of national traditions were presented. A video about the history of the Nauryz holiday was shown, a game based on Kazakh proverbs was conducted, and interactive team-based activities were organized. Students demonstrated traditions such as “Tusau kesu,” “Betashar,” and “Bata beru” in a staged format, explaining their meaning and significance. Such interactive methods not only increased student engagement but also contributed to the development of their creative abilities.
Furthermore, intellectual games were organized as part of the event, where students tested their knowledge in the fields of national values, the history of Kazakhstan, and ethnography. Participants demonstrated skills such as logical thinking, quick decision-making, and teamwork.
The event stood out for its vibrant atmosphere, created by the active participation and enthusiasm of the students. Participants wore traditional clothing, and Kazakh national songs and instrumental music were performed, contributing to a festive mood.
This event is closely aligned with one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals – ensuring quality education and preserving cultural heritage. This initiative aims to strengthen students’ national identity, foster patriotism, and promote unity and harmony in society.
