“The History of the Formation of the Kazakh Khanate and the Scholar-Researcher Berket Bakhytzhanuly Karibayev”

On March 16, 2026, at 12:00 PM, a scientific conference titled “The History of the Formation of the Kazakh Khanate and the Scholar-Researcher Berket Bakhytzhanuly Karibayev” was held in the E. Bekmakhanov auditorium of the Faculty of History.

The conference was organized by Professor and academic supervisor F.A. Kozybakova, along with first-year students majoring in Kazakh Philology. The main purpose of the conference was to introduce the history of the formation of the Kazakh Khanate, to develop students’ research skills, and to provide an opportunity for exchanging ideas with well-known historians.

Distinguished scholars were invited as honored guests to the conference. Among them were the Dean of the Faculty of History, Professor D. Suleimenuly, Professor of the Department of the History of Kazakhstan F.A. Kozybakova, Doctor of Historical Sciences and researcher of the Kazakh Khanate history B. Bakytzhanuly, as well as professors and scholars: S. Smagulov, E. Noyanuly, N. Aitbayeva, L. Khasanaeva, Zh. Makhmutkyzy, and A. Imanalikyzy.

During the conference, students presented their reports on the history of the Kazakh Khanate and defended their research work. They analyzed the reasons for the formation of the Khanate, the historical role of Kerey and Zhanibek Khans, the political situation of the 15th century, and the importance of the Kazakh Khanate in the formation of the Kazakh people.

After the presentations, the honored guests shared their opinions and provided academic evaluations of the students’ work. In particular, Berket Bakhytzhanuly Karibayev, based on his research, gave valuable feedback and useful advice to young researchers. Other guests also highly appreciated the conference, noting the students’ activity and dedication.

After the scientific part, a cultural program was organized. Students performed for the guests: young men recited expressive poetry, and traditional “terme” and “kui” performed on the dombra received special appreciation from the audience.

This conference became an important scientific and cultural event that contributed to the development of students’ academic abilities, increased their interest in national history, and provided an opportunity to establish direct connections with scholars.

In conclusion, the conference “The History of the Formation of the Kazakh Khanate and the Scholar-Researcher Berket Bakhytzhanuly Karibayev” was a meaningful and educational event aimed at deepening students’ knowledge and developing historical awareness.
