Chairman of the Management Board – Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev held a meeting with Dmitry Savkin, Vice-Rector of the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI.

The parties discussed issues of strengthening partnerships between the two universities and activating the work of the branch of the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI on the basis of KazNU. During the meeting, the directions of the development of joint educational programs, the implementation of research projects, as well as the improvement of academic mobility were discussed.

Zhanseit Tuimebayev noted that cooperation between KazNU and MEPhI University has reached a new level, and voiced a number of proposals. "The branch of the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI on the basis of KazNU successfully carries out its activities. Over the past 2-3 years, scientific laboratories in various fields have been launched on the basis of the educational institution. In this regard, by effectively using the capabilities of the laboratories, we need to raise scientific ties with the University of MEPhI to an even higher level. In addition, it is extremely important to intensify the exchange of scientists, increase the number of joint research projects and the publication of scientific articles in international rating journals",- Zhanseit Tuimebayev said.

During the meeting, Dmitry Savkin also stressed the importance of the strategic partnership between the two universities and expressed MEPhI's willingness to support joint initiatives.
