3rd place in the startup projects competition!
Amina Bekpolatovna Daryabaeva, a first-year Master's student majoring in Marketing in the Business Technology Department (supervised by PhD and Associate Professor Natalia Aleksandrovna Tovma), took third place in the startup project competition held at 91传媒 Kazakh National University. Initially, 120 applications were submitted, 22 of which were selected for the second round. Eleven advanced to the finals, and the panel awarded third place to Daryabaeva Amina Bekpolatkyzy for her startup project, "Development of Biodegradable Packaging Based on Seaweed." The project's main idea is to create biodegradable packaging from seaweed and propose a strategy for its market launch. Biodegradable packaging based on seaweed can be used in various industries due to its eco-friendliness and environmental safety. Applications: food industry, fast food industry, food delivery services, cosmetics industry. The startup project promotes environmental awareness, as eco-friendly packaging fosters a responsible attitude toward the environment and helps reduce pollution. Plastic decomposes in 200-500 years, while algae packaging decomposes in just a few weeks. Thus, biodegradable packaging reduces environmental risks and contributes to the sustainable development of society.
