“Green Thinking: Environmental Culture in Daily Life and Sustainable Development”
The Department of Botany and Agroecology held an educational event on April 13 of the 2025–2026 academic year together with first-year students of the educational program “6B05102 – Biology” on the topic “Green Thinking: Environmental Habits in Everyday Life.” The event was attended by Associate Professor–Researcher A.S. Nurmahanova, Acting Associate Professor A.Zh. Childibaeva, and T. Ryskali. It was noted that green thinking represents a high level of environmental awareness aimed at the careful use of natural resources and the preservation of environmental sustainability. This concept is based on the principles of sustainable development and ensures a balanced integration of environmental, economic, and social factors. Particular attention was paid to the fact that green thinking is implemented in everyday life through practical actions such as saving energy and water, reducing waste, and recycling. It was emphasized that recycling plays a key role in waste management by enabling the reuse of natural resources. It was also highlighted that green thinking contributes to the conservation of biodiversity and the maintenance of stable natural ecosystems. Under modern conditions, this approach is of particular importance for addressing global challenges such as climate change.
