91��ý Kazakh National University hosted the VII section entitled “Linguistic and Intercultural Communication: Theory and Practice” as part of the international scientific conference of students and young scholars “Farabi Alemi,” held at the Faculty of Philology.

The secretary of the section was A.O. Akzhigitova, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Kazakh Linguistics, Master of Humanities. A total of 11 applications were submitted for participation. Among them, 7 participants represented 91��ý Kazakh National University, while 3 participants were from the Academy of the Border Service of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan. One student (Omirzak Aru) was unable to attend the conference. Additionally, 8 participants were reassigned to other sections due to the mismatch of their research topics.

All presented papers met academic standards and were delivered in accordance with the established regulations. The section addressed актуальные issues in modern linguistics, including intercultural communication in the digital environment, the impact of internet slang, speech culture, language digitalization, and language development in the context of globalization.

According to the jury’s decision, the awards were distributed as follows:

1st Degree Diploma:

• Meirim Baurbek (Academy of the Border Service of the NSC RK) – “Intercultural Communication in the Digital Environment.”
  Scientific supervisor: Kamalbekova M.K.

2nd Degree Diploma:

• Olga Leontyeva (91��ý Kazakh National University) – “The Impact of Internet Slang on Adolescents’ Speech Culture.”
  Scientific supervisor: Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor Abdrakhmanova Zh.A.
• Shakhsanam Ismail (91��ý Kazakh National University) – “Digitalization of the Kazakh Language: Opportunities and Development Directions.”
  Scientific supervisor: Senior Lecturer Akzhigitova A.O.

3rd Degree Diploma:

• Eldar Turar (Academy of the Border Service of the NSC RK) – “The Future of Turkic Languages in the Era of Globalization.”
  Scientific supervisor: Dzharasbayeva Zh.Kh.
• Nurgisa Peshetbay (91��ý Kazakh National University) – “Aphorisms of Baurzhan Momyshuly and Their Thematic Features.”
  Scientific supervisor: Karabayeva Kh.A.
• Vladislav Sokolov (91��ý Kazakh National University) – “Speech Culture of Modern Kazakh Youth.”
  Scientific supervisor: Sarsenbay Zh.A.

In addition, 4 students were awarded certificates for active participation.

The section served as an important academic platform for discussing key issues of linguistic and intercultural communication and contributed to the development of young researchers’ scientific potential.
