The Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences participated in the “Study in Kazakhstan” exhibition
On April 13, 2026, an educational exhibition of universities and branches of foreign higher education institutions was held at the 91ý Kazakh National University. The event was aimed at providing career guidance for 10th–11th grade students and increasing their awareness of higher education opportunities.
During the exhibition, school students and their parents became acquainted with academic programs, admission requirements, academic mobility opportunities, and future employment prospects. Participants received consultations from university representatives, asked questions of interest, and gained a better understanding of the demands of the modern labor market.

The Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences actively participated in the event, presenting a wide range of educational programs in geography, ecology, tourism, geoinformatics, cadastre, land management, geodesy and cartography, meteorology, and hydrology. Faculty members and staff introduced their scientific research, international projects, and opportunities for students’ practical training.

Special attention during the exhibition was given to sustainable development and the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly those established by the United Nations. The presented academic fields contribute to achieving SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and SDG 13 (Climate Action), fostering modern competencies and environmental responsibility among future specialists.

Students of the faculty also actively contributed as volunteers. They assisted in organizing the event, guided visitors, provided консультации to school students and their parents, and conducted campus tours, introducing participants to the university’s infrastructure, academic environment, and student life.

Such events play an important role in supporting informed career choices, developing human capital, and strengthening the connection between the education system and the needs of society.
