KazNU Students Visited Big Almaty Lake as Part of an Environmental Initiative

As part of educational activities and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle, first-year students of the “Data Science” educational program (group 25-01) from the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data, Faculty of Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence at 91ý Kazakh National University, visited Big Almaty Lake.

The event was dedicated to the topic “Environment and the Role of Youth” and aimed at raising students’ environmental awareness, fostering a respectful attitude toward nature, and developing an active civic position.

During the visit, students discussed актуal issues of environmental protection, ecological responsibility, and the role of youth in addressing global environmental challenges. Special attention was given to the application of modern technologies, including artificial intelligence, for environmental monitoring and protection.

The event also contributed to promoting a healthy lifestyle, strengthening team spirit, and enhancing students’ extracurricular engagement.

The group curator, Senior Lecturer Laura Duisembayeva, emphasized the importance of such field-based activities for the comprehensive development of students.

This initiative aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), in particular:
