Rector meets with Kazakhstani students in China
Chairman of the Board – Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev met with Kazakhstani students continuing their studies at Northwestern Polytechnic University (NWPU) in China.
Young people studying at the branch of this university, opened on the basis of KazNU, are currently studying in their second year in China.
The event was attended by the rector of Northwestern Polytechnic University, Song Baowei, teachers and staff of the university.
The head of the educational institution, Zhanseit Tuimebayev, noted that the partnership between Kazakhstan and China is strengthening every day. In his speech, the rector stressed that KazNU is systematically working to strengthen cooperation with Chinese universities in the field of science and higher education. Joint laboratories and research centers of various profiles are being opened on the basis of the university.
"KazNU is actively working on the development of scientific infrastructure. Large-scale scientific projects are being implemented in the centers of remote sensing, supercomputers and robotics opened at the university. Innovative developments in these centers will contribute to solving urgent problems in the fields of ecology and economics",- said the rector.
During the meeting, special attention was paid to joint initiatives in the field of digitalization, artificial intelligence, engineering technologies and sustainable development. Zhanseit Tuimebayev stressed the importance of obtaining high-quality education and conducting scientific activities, noting that in order to become a competitive specialist in the era of globalization, it is necessary to master international experience. He also encouraged students to be active in learning new knowledge and skills. At the end of the meeting, the head of the university wished the Kazakh youth success in their studies.
The rector of Northwestern Polytechnic University, Song Baowei, the director of the Institute of Materials Science, Fu Qiangang, and the secretary of the Party Committee of the Aerospace Institute, Huang Yue, also spoke at the meeting, expressing their willingness to further strengthen mutual cooperation.
