A meeting dedicated to raising awareness and preventive measures regarding the risk of spring mudflows was held at the Kozhageldi Batyr Secondary School in the village of Aksuat. The event was attended by specialists from the Abai Regional Operational Department of the “Kazselezashchita” State Institution, who provided students with detailed information about natural disaster prevention, safety regulations, and proper actions during emergency situations.

During the meeting, the specialists explained the causes and possible consequences of natural hazards such as mudflows, landslides, and other hazardous natural processes that frequently occur in spring. They also introduced the graduating students to the academic program “Natural and Technogenic Risks”, emphasizing its important role in ensuring public safety.

The students had the opportunity to ask questions and receive valuable information about protection from natural disasters and future career opportunities. Such meetings help develop a culture of safety among young people and encourage interest in professions related to the study and management of natural and technogenic hazards.
